Follow Along Coordination Activities

The Oxford definition of coordination is: The ability to use different parts of the body together smoothly and efficiently. Our bodies are able to produce coordinated movements through the integration of information from our sensory system and motor system through the cerebellum in our brain. In last week’s post and video, I give a detailed explanation of how this process occurs. So, be sure to check it out.

This week, I wanted to provide you with some simple follow along activity sessions that focus on coordination. Each session is about 5 minutes long. The first session has 7 activities and the second and third session have 5 activities each. There is a short demonstration before each activity begins and a short rest break between each task.

As always I have provided activity sessions for kids of all ability levels. The first session is done in the seated position. The remaining 2 sessions are done in standing. The second standing session is a bit more challenging that the first. The time code for each workout is listed in the video’s description box.

I hope you had a great time trying these workouts. If you have any other fun coordination activities, please share them in the comments below. If you would like to check out more of my 5 minute workouts, click here.

Thanks so much for stopping by today. I hope you have an amazing week!
