We are back with some more 5 minute workouts for you this week. My Channel has a series of 5 minute workouts for kids of all ability levels. There are seated workouts and standing workouts of various intensities. However, all of these workouts require that individuals move their arms against gravity and focus on larger gross motor type movements.
Some of my friends with movement limitations may have difficulty moving against gravity. Others need to focus on improving strength and mobility for fine motor movements. And that is where table top workouts come in.
In this video, you will find 2 table top workouts with a fun outer space theme. Each workout is 5 minutes long, contains 5 exercises performed for 50 seconds followed by a 10 second rest. The first workout focuses on strengthening the shoulder and upper trunk muscles. If you have difficulty lifting your arms against gravity, this workout is for you. The second workout focuses on fine motor movements in the wrist and hand. Both of these workouts can be done in an adaptive device like a wheelchair or stander or a standard chair and desk. So, are you ready to workout?
